Manager responsible for the entire store’s progress.  Keeping track of sales with paper trails and spreadsheets.  Learned when to delegate responsibility and when to get the work done myself.  Inventory and ordering of thousands of products to keep store current and well stocked.  Also in charge of Delivery & Service Department.  Management of employees,  training, hours and schedule. 

 

Personal Tech Support                                                           May 2001 – October 2008

As a personal business this allowed me to expand my contacts and led to an overwhelming amount of requests for personal and business computing /networking support.  Honed skills with many standard programs (Office, Adobe Software, personal networking and security) and custom software.  Support was mainly resolved over the phone and when necessary I would travel to the clients home or business to do training or troubleshoot and solve any issues on site.

 

Sales Representative, Billiards and Barstools                       March 2002 – July 2004

The Big Kids Toy Store, San Marcos, CA

 

Sales Representative selling pool tables and game room furniture.  Responsible for learning product and up selling.  In two years I increased my ticket sales by 20%-30%.  Training with customer and employee relationships.   Took responsibility for much of my own training in game room design and product history related to store products.

 

Lead Network Administrator                                                           March 1998 – March 2002

Homes.com, Sorrento Valley, CA

 

Lead Network Administrator for over 350 computers in a total of three offices (in three different cities) for a telemarketing company.  Starting with the company when there were only 12 computers allowed for an understanding of problems occurring with growing networks and data solutions.  In a Windows, Linux, Mac and FreeBSD environment I learned compatibility issues and an overall understanding of the leading operating systems.
